Wesley Dee Siroky, age 83, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013 at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita. He was born Oct. 25, 1929, in Wichita, the son of Charlie Siroky and Muriel (Houser) Gilmer.

Wesley served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He had lived in Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas and worked as a carpenter and farmer and was an oil and gas operator with Siroky Oil Management.

Wesley's legacy will live on because of his unconditional love for his family, his contagious smile, and strong work ethic.

On June 5, 1955 he married Emily Ann Witmer at Rock, Kan. She survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Brad and Joy Siroky, Brent Siroky and fiancee Jannifer Terry, all of Wichita, and Brian and Terri Siroky of Pratt; nine grandchildren, Brandon (Deborah) Siroky, Brandy (Coby) Tresner, Bryce Siroky, Kodi (Kimberly) Siroky, Kole Siroky, Jessica Siroky, Jordan Siroky, Spencer (Serena) Siroky, and Jacob Siroky; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Noble (Rosie) Siroky of Augusta; three sisters, Sharon (Gary) Gibson of Douglas, Janice (Greg) Robinson of Smithville, Mo., and Christine (Wayne) Barker of Douglas.

Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1to 8 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First Southern Baptist Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
