  • A Rogers, Ark. woman was injured Monday afternoon about 5:20 p.m. in a two-vehicle accident about two miles east of Pratt on U.S. 54 at the entrance to Simpson Dirt Construction on the south side of the road.
Injured in the accident was Ruphell Pilcher, 85 of Rogers.
The accident happened when an eastbound 2007 Hyundai driven by Jennie Pilcher, 50 of Rogers, came upon an eastbound 2005 Kenworth, driven by Jay Wittig, 30 of Pratt, pulling a gravel trailer and preparing to make a right turn off the highway into the Simpson business driveway.
Pilcher realized she was too close and tried to pass on the right then saw the truck was turning right. The driver's side of the Hyundai struck the right front fender of the Kenworth then went into the ditch and came to rest upright. The entire drivers side of the Hyundai was damaged.
The Kenworth came to a stop on the driveway with damage to the right fender and hood.
Pratt County EMS transported Ruphell to Pratt Regional Medical Center where she was treated and released.
Jennie and Wittig were uninjured in the accident as were two dogs in Hyundai.
