Kandy Kay Kendall, age 57, died Nov. 25, 2013 at her home in Pratt. She was born Feb. 5, 1956 at Wichita, the daughter of Jim Edd and Bonnie Kay (Tucker) Lewis. On Sept. 30, 1989 she married Royce Kendall at Wichita.
Kandy attended Lacrosse school until the 2nd grade, graduated from Pratt High School, Pratt Community College, Emporia State University and then she received her Masters in Special Education from Fort Hays University. She was a cheerleader for eight years and was on the PHS tennis and track teams. Kandy was a special education teacher at Pratt High School and was a member of KNEA.
Survivors include her husband, Royce of Haviland; father, Jim Lewis of Pratt; a son, Lane Kendall of Wichita; two sisters, Kari (Stanley) Lewis of Raleigh, N.C., and Keli Barron of Rose Hill; and 10 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bonnie Lewis.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at Haviland Friends Church in Haviland, with Dr. Sheryl White presiding.
