Staff at the Pratt Public Library want your no-longer-used Legos®.
Library Director Rochelle Westerhaus said other libraries have Lego Clubs for children that meet weekly or monthly. They set out bins of Legos, establish a theme, and let the kids build. The creations are displayed at the library until they're torn down and used again.
A Lego Club would fit well with the current K-4 Fun@Your Library program that meets on the first and third Thursday of each month. Participation has been less than desired, she thinks in part because it's hard for families to remember which afternoons the kids meet. The Lego Club, and another activity could make it a weekly program.
