  • Olympics update: Team USA makes historic medal sweep in slopestyle

    The U.S. has swept the podium in men's slopestyle skiing. Joss Christensen soared to gold in the sport's Olympic debut, posting a score of 95.80 on Thursday to beat teammates Gus Kenworthy and Nick Goepper.
    Men's hockey team rolls
    The U.S. men's hockey team crushed Slovakia 7-1 today to wins its opening game. The U.S. scored six goals in the second period, led by Paul Stastny, who scored twice. Meanwhile, Russia won its first game 5-2 over Slovenia. Canada faces Norway at 12 p.m. EST.

    "I fought to get in finals. I did all three rounds. To come out on top, I couldn't believe it." - U.S. snowboarder Kaitlyn Farrington, who took gold in the women's halfpipe.

    Crashes galore
    Li Jianrou of China won the gold medal in 500-meter short track speedskating after she was the only woman who didn't fall in the final.
