  • Steve Landry takes over the reins of the Pratt High golf program this season after serving for several years as an assistant knowing who three of his varsity golfers are going to be. Unfortunately, the rest of his 6-man squad is going to come from a group of golfers many of whom are either new the squad or even new to the sport. “It may be mid-season by the time we get it sorted out,” said Landry. “We need a couple of kids to step up.” The leading returner is junior Tyler Skaggs, who went to State last season. Landry also expects big things from junior Spencer Sullivan who had flashes of brilliance a year ago. The third varsity returner is sophomore Hunter Walker. The balance of the squad will come from a group that includes frosh Robert Ford; sophs David Schotte, Dalton Prosser and Logan Chadd; and juniors Dakota Hankins and Jace Gwynn. “We hope to continue to get better each week,” Landry said. “Hopefully, that will be reflected in our results.”
