A Preston woman has been charged with one count of vehicular homicide involving a fatality accident on Dec. 17, 2012 on K-61 at NE 70th Street.
Charges were filed May 20 against Jennifer Dale, 36 of Preston who was arrested June 2 on a warrant and released on bond on the same day from the Pratt County Jail, according to the Pratt County Sheriff web site.
The accident occurred when Dale was north bound on K-61 in a 2000 Dodge Intrepid behind Virginia Sell, 78 of Stafford, who was driving a 2006 Ford Escape, said Pratt County Attorney Ken Van Blaricum.
Sell stopped or slowed to make a left turn onto NE 70th Street and Dale rear-ended the Sell vehicle into the path of a southbound Peterbilt semi and trailer driven by Anthony Villanueva, 51 of Aurora, Mo.
Sell was ejected from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A helicopter took Dale to a Wichita hospital while Villanueva and his passenger were not injured in the accident according to a Channel 12 Eyewitness News story on their web site.
Kansas Highway Patrol was called to the scene at 3:18 p.m.
