  • Martin Quint, 88, died August 15, 2014 at South Wind Hospice, Pratt. He was born June 26, 1926 near Bunker Hill, the son of S.P. and Margaret (Mahoney) Quint.
    Martin served as an Army military police officer in Korea during the Korean War. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 1451 and Rotary Club, all in Pratt. He was in the dairy business in Russell, for three years, then was agency manager for Farm Bureau in Pratt for 42 years. He loved to fly and spend time with family at Wilson Lake.
    He married Betty Lou Eagleton on Nov. 8, 1950 in Salina. She survives.
    Other survivors include three sons, Mike (Karen) Quint, Tim (Kris) Quint and Danny (Cindy) Quint, all of Pratt; two daughters, Susan Quint of Wichita, and Barbara (Martin) Ibarra of Pratt; a brother, Tom Quint of Greeneville, Tenn.; two sisters, Mary Catherine Ross of Russell and Margaret Ann Hahn of St. Louis, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Stephanie Wolff, Joshua Quint, Staci Hunt, TJ Quint, Cami Cunningham, Taylor Ibarra, Kiley Quint, Jacob Quint, and eight great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Jim Quint.
    Vigil will be 7 p.m., Monday, Aug. 18th at Larrison Mortuary, Pratt. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt, with the Rev. Floyd McKinney presiding. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
