Evelyn Claire Elder died peacefully in her sleep on August 19th, 2014, at the age of 3 and a half months. She was born April 28th, 2014, in Lafayette, Colorado to Matthew Elder and Eryn Wood Elder.
Evelyn will be remembered as a beautiful, happy baby and a young lady who proved to always be ahead of the curve with her development.
Little E or Sweet Pea went on a gondola ride in Breckenridge, took a road trip to Kansas at five weeks, and loved reading, listening to music and watching Jeopardy. Evelyn will always be Mommy and Daddy’s perfect little girl.
Along with her parents, she will be missed by her grandparents, Natalie and Darrell Wood of Trousdale, , and Diane and Richard Elder of Wichita; her great-grandparents Betty Wood of Trousdale, Joan Linaberry of Doylestown, Pa., and William (Judy) Linaberry of Perkasie, Pa., as well as numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She will be greeted in heaven by her great-grandfather Norman Wood, her great-grandparents Francis and Wilma Elder and Jouetta and Robert Luthi.
Funeral service was held Aug. 25 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with Pastor Rick Ebbers of The Journey Church officiating. Burial will follow at Foothills Gardens of Memory, Longmont.
Memorial contributions may be made to SIDS research in care of Howe Mortuary or to a scholarship fund for girls in Evelyn’s name at Guaranty Bank, Longmont, CO.
