Winter came roaring back with a vengeance on Monday, reminding us that we're not out of the woods yet.
It's as if winter seems to be saying, I'm just around the corner, waiting to pounce upon your fine spring day.
Out on the east coast, winter is anticipated to gain a foothold, pummeling several northeastern states with up to 10 inches of snow. Winter perhaps hopes to gain a little credibility for its paltry performance in 2016-17.
Out here on the plains though, the skies are expected to be dry and mostly blue, with winds that'll chill you to the bone.
All you can do is enjoy it, this last blast of the winter that wasn't, and count your blessings that it was a mild as it was, and that you're not living up in the northeast right now.
But don't count winter out just yet.
