Scripture:  Isaiah (NIV) 53:11 After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light of life and be satisfied; by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities.

Observation:    One is satisfied when the actual results are the same as the expected results.   Jesus is satisfied because His time on earth is considered a success.   The rejection, the suffering, the pain, the piercings, the agony"He was pierced, crushed, punished and wounded.   He was oppressed and afflicted, assigned a grave with the wicked, and the rich.   He was crushed and suffered by the will of His Father!   And when He looked back, He was satisfied.   He had accomplished what He had set out to do!   The results were worth the suffering!

Application:   Two ways in which God can be satisfied in my life.   First, He knows what I have been saved from.   He knows the sin and the hell that was awaiting me.   He can be satisfied in that He saved me from sin and judgment.   Second, He can be satisfied in what He wants to accomplish through me.   He can be satisfied as I fulfill His purpose for my life.

Prayer:     Lord Jesus, I want you to be satisfied with what You have accomplished and will accomplish in my life.   Holy Spirit, empower me to live a life worthy and pleasing to my Lord.   May Jesus be satisfied with my life.  Amen
