Have you ever considered the moments in a day when you found joy, peace, or hope? What were those moments like?
The thought, Treasure the moments, comes to mind, for no one knows how many moments we each have left to treasure.
Those moments vary for each of us. For persons with children, the moment may come in spending carefree time with a child, perhaps seeing the world, once again, through that child's eyes. For lovers of nature, the moment may occur while watching an awe-inspiring sunrise, or sunset. Perhaps the moment in your day came through the kindness a stranger showed you, unexpectedly, and which reaffirmed your faith in humanity. Or, it might be in the friendliness of a fellow traveler out on the road of life, as you feel, or are literally, far away from your home. Perhaps a moment you recall brought a deep feeling of peace or a sense that everything would work out alright in a particularly trying period of life.
The moments we have to treasure may be fleeting, but, I believe, they nevertheless help to fill our depleted reservoirs and thus give us the energy we need to keep striving onward.
As you go through your days, I hope you find time to treasure the moments that give meaning to your days.
