If you only see one movie this month, consider making it 'I Can Only Imagine,' which is currently playing at the Barron Theatre. This is a movie that sends you home with something positive.
It may strengthen your desire to do better in your daily walk with God. Perhaps it will motivate you to take that first step along the path of forgiving someone else. Whatever it does within your heart, it's a beautiful story of hope for us all. This is the kind of movie of which this world needs more.
Here's my takeaway: We may fail. We may falter or misstep along the way. But that doesn't have to be the end. We can begin a new chapter. We yet have the opportunity to write a different story, and, if we wake up tomorrow, we are given the chance to do so.
This is a story of redemption and how Christ and the gospel can change lives. It's no easy journey, but it is possible.
So, do yourself a favor and go. Better yet, take the whole family.
'I Can Only Imagine' will be playing at the Barron on April 7 at 7 p.m.; April 8 at 2 p.m.; April 13 and 14 at 7 p.m.; and, April 15 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person.
