It’s billed as a benefit concert, but the real purpose for the Hope Center board of directors is to bring a high quality community event to Pratt. Wes Hampton, who sings tenor with the Gaither Vocal Band — described as the flagship of Southern gospel music — also has a solo ministry that manager Adam King describes as more contemporary than pure gospel. He will perform July 9 at Carpenter Auditorium.

Sheryl White will present a concert Wednesday that’s part history, part old-time spiritual and part just plain fun sing-along. It is at 7 p.m. June 29 at Pratt Community College Carpenter Auditorium.
