COLDWATER — Anna Mae Seal passed away September 21, 2017 at Comanche County Hospital in Coldwater. She was born on September 1, 1937 and grew up on a farm southeast of Cunningham.  She was the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Mertens) Kathman. On September 1, 1958 she was united in marriage to Dillman Freeman in Willowdale.  He preceded her in death on March 4, 1971.  She then married Merlin Seal on November 26, 1971. He preceded her in death on October 3, 1991. 

Anna was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Ministry of Praise and Women of Sacred Heart.  She and Merlin were long time members of the Pratt Promanaders Square Dance Club and the Kansas Round Dance Association.

She will be remembered for her love of family and helping other, her dogs and precious horse, Roxie.

She is survived by her four sisters, Edna Schneiwis, Evelyn Simon, Jane Ward and Kathy Reiter; and 58 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anna Kathman; four sisters, Viola Henning, Emma Adelhardt, Judy Tiemeyer and Rose Adelhardt; one brother, Richard Kathman; and step brother, Bill Mertens.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt.  Vigil and Rosary Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Larrison Mortuary.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, September 25, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt with Father Michael Klag presiding.  Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge.
