Peoria, Arizona – Avildsen, Ronald “Big Mac” Christ, 84, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at Absolute Best Care Group Home in Peoria. He was born September 8, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois to Lester and Alice (Zywical) Avildsen. On December 7, 1957, he married Virginia “Ginny” R. (Gjertsen) Avildsen in Chicago. She survives.
Ronald moved to Pratt from Chicago when he opened McDonalds. He was the owner for more than 30 years. He was a rotarian in the Pratt Rotary Club.
He is survived by his wife, Ginny, of Peoria, Arizona; daughters, Laura (Sal) Sisco of Antioch, Illinois, Jolan (Steve) Strecker of Pratt and Mary (Erin) Batman of Pratt; grandchildren, Salvatore Sisco, Nicole (Justin) Crouch, Jake Strecker, Brady Batman, Cooper (Wendy) Batman and Bailey Batman; and great grandchild, Aniston Crouch.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Larrison Mortuary. Burial with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt.
