Peabody-Burns trailed 27-15 at the half.

Mallory Harris scored 10 points for the Warriors, followed by Mallory Harris with nine.

Peabody-Burns hosts Goessel Friday.

BRAINERD — The Remington High School boys’ basketball team edged Inman 53-52 Tuesday in Heart of America League play at Remington.

The game was tied 25-25 at the half and 38-38 after three quarters.

Remington was led by Todd Ensz and Garet Johnson with 11 points each. Jarrett Sommers added 10 points.

For Inman, Payton Froese scored 22 points, followed by Lucas Barlow with 14 and Mason Thiessen with 10. Inman falls to 12-5, 4-3 in HOAL play.

Remington is 8-8, 2-5 in HOAL play, and plays Friday at Ell-Saline.

ELBING — The Berean Academy boys’ basketball team fell to Hutchinson Trinity 63-55 in double overtime Tuesday in Heart of America League play in Elbing.

Berean led 25-24 at the half and 35-34 after three quarters. The scorebook did not break down the scoring of each overtime period.

Connor Remar scored 24 points to lead Trinity, followed by Kaleb Hammeke with 14 and Angel Martinez with 13. Trinity improves to 8-9, 4-3 in HOAL play.

Devin Rust led Berean with 15 points, followed by Ben Herrman with 13 and Micah Wiebe with 10.

Berean Academy is 12-4, 4-2 in HOAL play, and hosts Sterling Friday.

PEABODY — Canton-Galva used a shutout second quarter to get by Peabody-Burns 43-35 Tuesday in Wheat State League play.

The Eagles led 10-6 after the first quarter and 20-6 at the half, holding off a late Warrior comeback.

Hunter Pearson scored 17 points to lead Canton-Galva.

Austin Reynolds scored 18 points for Peabody-Burns, followed by Rocco Weerts with 10, all in the fourth quarter.

Peabody-Burns, 2-13 overall and 1-6 in the WSL, hosts Goessel Friday.
